Bubble Insulation

🌡️ Bubble Insulation

Bubble Insulation is a type of reflective thermal insulation made by sandwiching air bubble film(s) between reflective foil layers (aluminum or metalized film). It works by reducing radiant heat transfer, making it highly effective in hot climates and under metal roofs.

🧱 Structure & Composition

Typically composed of:

  • Single or Double Bubble Layer: Made from polyethylene (PE), traps air for thermal resistance.

  • Single or Double-sided Reflective Foil: Reflects up to 97% of radiant heat.

Key Features

  • Reflects up to 97% radiant heat

  • Reduces indoor temperatures by 5–10°C

  • Lightweight and easy to install

  • Moisture-resistant – acts as a vapour barrier

  • Tear-resistant and durable

  • Non-toxic and safe to handle

🏗️ Applications

🏢 Building Construction

  • Underdeck insulation for metal & concrete roofs

  • Wall insulation behind drywall or cladding

  • Ceiling insulation in pre-engineered buildings

❄️ HVAC & Ducting

  • Thermal and vapor barrier wrap for ducts

🚚 Cold Storage & Warehousing

  • Enhances energy efficiency and temperature control

🚗 Automotive & Caravans

  • Used in vans, trailers, and container insulation
